Service Description
A brand new collaborative offering for 2026! Weave your own bespoke decorative willow mushroom sculpture, learn to forage wild ingredients on a guided walk along the coastline, and be nourished by wild food & drink, throughout a very special and unique rewilding day! Amanda & I have collaborated for many years now, and are very excited to offer this brand new workshop format. Our offerings are always the most lovely of days, attracting friends, relatives, couples, and singles alike, immersed in nature, full of chatter and laughter, the therapy of the willow and the wild, in a beautiful location, all complemented with delicious foraged food and drink along the way! We will gather at 10am in a meadow with gorgeous views overlooking the Severn Estuary, where you will be welcomed with wild flower & fruit tea & cookies upon arrival. Our day will begin with Amanda, the Wyldwood Willow weaving wizardess, teaching us to fashion fungi from hand-harvested, locally-grown willow, overlooking the water at beautiful Black Rock. Whether you create them from your imagination, or based on realistic form is entirely your choice, each will be unique, and for indoor or outdoor use, perhaps with fairy lights to add to the magic! Throughout the day, we will enjoy foraged snacks and refreshments, which I will prepare with the finest seasonal & preserved wild ingredients. At lunchtime I'll serve wild mushroom miso soup with freshly baked foraged focaccia, and by early afternoon, you will have woven your mushroom sculpture into existence! We will then head out on a foraging walk to explore the salt marsh, hedgerow, meadow and coastal edibles at this very special and particularly abundant location. I will teach you how to find, identify, sustainably harvest, and make delicious recipes with the myriad of wild foods we will encounter on our gentle & scenic meander. Upon our return to the meadow, we will have worked up an appetite for a splendid wild meal, served overlooking the stunning estuary, tucking in whilst we chat about all things foraging & weaving related! 10am-5pm £140p.p. All dietary requirements can be catered to. Ages 14 upwards. We have always been blessed with wonderful sunshine, so we will have gazebos and awnings to offer you shade, or protection in the unlikely event of rain. Please note this experience is suitable for ages 14 upwards, due to sharp tool use.
