Service Description

Join us this Saturday to discover fabulous Spring wild ingredients hiding in plain sight all around us! Starting from the The Halfway, Tal-y-Coed, we will explore a myriad of delectable wild edibles with diverse flavours and uses, in the nearby meadows, hedgerows & woodland, on a gentle 1.5 hour meander through the beautiful countryside surrounding Tal-y-Coed, between Monmouth and Abergavenny. Guests will be led on a gentle meandering walk through nearby meadows, hedgerows and woodland, discovering a wide variety of wild edible species with diverse, exciting and surprising flavours, which we’ll nibble on and taste as we wander. From foliage to fungi, flowers, seeds, herbs, spices, roots, vegetables and more, participants will learn how to safely identify, sustainably harvest and use seasonal wild ingredients in delicious food and drink recipes. Following the walk, guests are welcome back to The Halfway, Tal-y-Coed, which will be open all day for food and drinks. Saturday 30th May Walk starts at 10:30am, finishes around 12pm Fee: £35 person (subsidised £10 by Pubtopia CIC)


Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or reschedule your booked experience, please contact us at least 14 days before the date of the event. It is not possible to offer a refund for any cancelled bookings made within the appropriate time frame, for which alternative dates are available, you can instead retain credit for a future date, which will remain valid for 2 years. If the weather is prohibitive whereby it could be dangerous to proceed, we will contact you in advance to rearrange. Experiences will go ahead in all weather conditions unless it would be dangerous to do so. Gift vouchers are valid for redemption for 2 years after purchase.
